A lovely way to celebrate Argentina---the Consul General Jose Luiz Perez-Gabilondo hosted a relaxed, elegant evening featuring the celebrated red and white wines of his native country-now the fifth largest importer of wines to the USA---and...









The Wine flowed and the tasty iconic Argentina eats-"authentic and delicious" according to our Argentine friends.

...A wonderful cafe´ concerto style- live tango performance by the acclaimed Mederos Trio, playing a set-list of soulful and upbeat songs that we learned were Argentine "classics."


The dancers were mesmerizing---exacting in movements-but with great feeling too-in a "street" and more "formal" styles of the culturally significant Tango dance...
















As if we needed another reason to book a flight to Buenos Aires---a few weeks prior we were wowed by the Spring 2012 fashion shows featuring Argentina's finest designers.

We loved everything we saw walk down the catwalk during the famous New York Fashion Week...highlights included this pretty feminine frock by Desiderata (www.desiderata.com.ar)
