column dress

A calm, couture style presentation featuring the glamorous evening wear by designer Rita Vinieris...was a wonderful way to get an up close view (and appreciation) of the beautiful gowns and intricate finery (the inlaid palettes, the laces and embroidery) in the collection.
beautiful-laces and embroidered details on this dress...

We got there early-as the Lookbook was being photographed---simultaneously with the lovely Rita Vinieris herself---explaining her clothes to clearly impressed fashion editors.

One thing we noticed right off-these lingerie inspired knockouts-with elements of design such as camisoles/corsets... are made for grand entrances and exits....with intricate details revealed, front and back.

 Inspiration:
Evening gown with lace overlay+ruffles---very sex kittenish.
"In a unique space between boudoir and black tie comes my Spring 2014 Collection. I wanted to create clothes to be seen in...whether it is for one special person or to make an entrance. The choice is up to you. Everything is light weight, effortless and chic."

bold red column gown-with deep v back with lapel back +  ornate illusion embroidery.

pretty pale coral-classic flowing silhouette- with an illusion neckline = embroidery - black French lace trim

Two of our favorite looks---and the way we approve of the whole wear your evening silk pajamas as apparel thing going on (so it seems, according to fashion magazines Ć  la Hugh Hefner)...were the jumpsuits---one a French lace selection with organza evening coat...and the other-a nude silver embroidery on nude tulle over French lace worn with tulle evening coat.

An elegant alternative to the classic black Tuxedo suit --- for women who want to wear evening trousers-in some form. we kept thinking of the always elegant actress/icon Lauren Bacall...when we saw these ensembles.
The hair-by Rodney Cutler for Cutler---was boudoir ready thick waves-with a deep side part---a Jerry Hall signature coif...touchable and sexy.

Our exit elevator ride was shared with an editor from Martha Stewart's Weddings ---who was telling us about the coveted wedding gowns designed by Rita Vinieris...with silk dresses with lace overlays much in demand by her readers. We could easily see the designer fulfilling the dress dreams of women on their big day.

Hair stylist Rodney Cutler does final touch-ups...
