#NYFW S/ S 2015 LORIS DIRAN Menswear

"Where The Ocean Meets The Sky" inspired NY based designer Loris Diran's collection of 50's-60's London Teddy Boy silhouettes---in a pleasing palette of "changing Blues, Greys, and Beiges of a summer sky combined with the pompadours and slim suits of that era.

Wearable and summery ready fabrics (cotton, cotton-silk, cotton-knit, tropical wool), underpinned the 'New look' = über soft, washed suiting without padding and stiff interfacing-mostly narrow lapels (single) -slightly wider on the double breasted jackets-all contributing to the overall cut of sleek fitted silhouettes…21st century modern with that ankle as erogenous zone on full display.

Single and double breasted suits and well-paired jackets-trousers that were very well made.

Very wearable---and kudos to DJ Reed McGowan for the soundtrack-a mix of early 80's punk---and more up to date tunes that had the same vibe. FUN.
